YET ANOTHER MOUSE OF COMMONS BOOK!!!!!

Hi,

At last - another new Mouse of Commons book. You'll remember that I've been talking about this one for a while. It's the first Mouse of Commons short story collection and the photo above is from the paperback edition. The cat, of course - is the lovely Deeley. :)

Above. This is the back cover of the paperback edition.

Above. This is the hardback cover...

...And this, the reverse of the hardback.

The website blurb on www.lulu.com reads as follows:

"This is the 5th Mouse Of Commons book and contains 1 novella and 4 shorter stories, as well as some very useful advise by guinea pig guru, Auntie Astrid. The novella is by Ben Herring and is called THE PROFESSOR OF POWER and the other 4 shorter stories are by Paul Chandler and are entitled; MOUSE ON THE MOON, THE THEFT OF THE MOUSE PRINCESS, THE NOTORIOUS B.U.G. and THE LAST RECIPE. Auntie Astrid appears courtesy of Gareth Bellis - world famous book cataloguer and Eurovision Song Contest wizard."

Paperback copies are £9.99 and the link is: http://www.lulu.com/content/236120

Hardback copies are £15.99 and the link is:http://www.lulu.com/content/444805

Please note that there is now a new cheaper postal charge for books ordered from lulu.com for those of us in Europe; meaning that postage of 1 or 2 books is reduced to between £1 and £2 depending on the amount/weight of the book. This is a good deal as previously postage from the site was a little on the expensive side because they were sent over from the States.

Can I also add my thanks to Lisa Parker and Neph for helping proof-reading MOUSE TALES & MICE TAILS and also thank Neph and Calum Williamson for helping with some of the photos included in the book. One final big round of applause to the mysterious Ben Herring and to Gareth Bellis for their valued contributions. I can let you into a little secret and that is that the appearance of Gareth and Auntie Astrid in this story is just the first of many appearances to come. Yay! :)

I am currently working on four other Mouse novels:

GLADSTONE MCWHISKERS AND THE BEARGRRRIAN DILEMMA

This is currently being proof-read by Neph and will probably be out by out by the book launch in August (the original date of a book launch at the end of June has had to be postponed)

GLADSTONE MCWHISKERS THROWS IT ALL AWAY

Another novel - I'm half way through this one.

THE FURTHER SQUEAKS OF GLADSTONE MCWHISKERS

A collection of short stories which was written last year, but is only now being typed. It's about half way ready.

GOSSIP FROM THE CHEESE COUNTER

4 novellas - the first GLADSTONE MCWHISKERS AND THE CAVEBUNNY OF OLD LONDON TOWN, is the only one completed so far.

There are also a few other books at the early planning stage - but they won't be out until, at least 2008. The titles mentioned above will hopefully be available before Christmas.

On top of all the Mouse books - my next book of poetry: RHYMES BEARS STEAL PIES FOR is due out by the beginning of next month, as is the SHY YETI YEARBOOK 2006 (a book of photos from last year). Another book of photos: DUNBAR SPRING was published in mid-April at short notice and is already available on the site. For more details check out: www.thedaffypoet.blogspot.com

Anyway - enough from me. The pictures below are of Ben Herring (aka Aidan Neal) and Gareth Bellis who helped me with the writing of MOUSE TALES AND MICE TAILS.

More soon! Thanks for reading!!

Take care!!

Paul :) x
