The lastest news on the next Mouse books is as follows:

MOUSE IN BEAR'S CLOTHING

Lisa is currently proofing Chapter 11 of 18, we are hoping that the book will be ready in October - but when a definite date is known I'll let everyone know.

MOUSE TALES AND MICE TAILS

I'm currently doing final re-writes on the final two short stories: THE THEFT OF THE MOUSE PRINCESS and MOUSE ON THE MOON. I am hoping to get this done before I head to Paris/Rome for a photographic trip at the end of this month. A proof should be with Lisa by early October. Release date, hopefully sometime November/early December.

GLADSTONE MCWHISKERS AND THE MOUSES OF PARLIAMENT

I am currently well into Chapter 14 (of 16) and expect to finish a first draft once I return from Rome in early October. I am hoping that this book will be ready by February 2007, at latest.

THE FURTHER SQUEAKS OF GLADSTONE MCWHISKERS

This is another short story collection, which like MOUSE TALES AND MICE TAILS is only being written sporadically, by hand - during holidays when I don't have my laptop with me. The first story (of approx 4-5 stories) PET MICE AND SINGLE MUMS is due to be completed during my Paris/Rome trip. I don't expect this book to ready until at least early summer 2007.

GLADSTONE MCWHISKERS AND THE BEARGRRRIAN DILEMMA

The third and final (??) of the Charlie Grrr/Gladstone McWhiskers trilogy is only at the planning stage. However photos for the cover were taken as recently as this week. I expect this book to be ready by late spring 2007.

Talking about cover photos - if you check out the www.lulu.com site under Paul Chandler you will see that MOUSE OF COMMONS AND LORDS has a new cover (in fact two - one for the paperback and one for the hardback!) I have also designed the covers for all the books above and replaced all the original covers for all the poetry books and novels (ie: Tales of Shy Yeti, Ongoing Saga and Mystic Biscuits) Check them out, if you have time and hopefully I will load up some of the covers to this site soon.

CHARLIE GRRR BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE

Hi,

All of the team who work on The Mouse of Commons, which includes, myself, Neph, Lisa and Trowby and one or two others would just like to wish Charlie Grrr a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY for Sunday 10th September 2006. This is the date that he first met Neph and I - and what a weird and wonderful year it has been!!

Whilst I'm hear I would just like to announce that the next MOUSE OF COMMONS BOOK, MOUSE IN BEAR'S CLOTHING is due to be released either late this month, or early in October and that it features Charlie rather a lot!!! Lisa is busy doing proof reading of the final chapters and then it should be ready to load up onto Lulu. An exact date will be posted on here and I am expecting a lot more photos as the Mouse of Commons will be beginning a European tour, of Paris, Rome and Prague later this month! (Really!!!!) Also there will probably be another book launch party in November for this and MOUSE TALES AND MICE TAILS, the short story collection which is hopefully going to be out in November.

Other Mouse/Charlie news is that I am currently coming towards the end of writing the first Mouse of Commons novel for 2007, which is GLADSTONE MCWHISKERS AND THE MOUSES OF PARLIAMENT. I only have a couple of chapters to go and I can confirm that Charlie, once again, makes an appearance and that the story is also very, very silly! Yay!

Anyway... Enough about The Mouse... You can also find further postings about Charlie on his own website http://bearyondbearlief.blogspot.com/ where the story of how we first met the bear shall be revealed for the very first time!!
