NEW MOUSE OF COMMONS NOVEL ON THE WAY!!!

Anyway, I just thought I'd update you all on the current situation with new Mouse of Commons material.

I'm very pleased to announce that the first new Mouse of Commons book: MOUSE IN A BOTTLE is due on Friday 11th August and will be available to buy from www.lulu.com. This was the most difficult of the recent novels that I've worked on, in that 75% of it had been written back in 2000, following on from the completion of MOUSE OF COMMONS - MOUSE OF LORDS. A good deal of MOUSE IN A BOTTLE was actually written, by hand, in Las Vegas - but sadly it was not completed at the time. Luckily, I was able to rescue it and wrote an ending (pretty much essential, I think you'll find) and it is now in the final stages of production.

I'll write a little more about this particular book nearer the release date - but all I'll say for now is that it includes all the main characters from the first novel; Gladstone, Oliver and Bell - as well as Miss Tula Swiss, MP Dunn and Leader Percy. New characters include a bat called Cricket - a mysterious boy named Douglas Domain, a strange pair of actors, an eccentric named Bob Peru - not to mention the spirit of a long since deceased Mouse of Lords!!!

In addition to this book, the third Mouse book: MOUSE IN BEAR'S CLOTHING is currently being proof-read and the 4th book, the short story collection - MOUSE TALES AND MICE TAILS is all typed up and joining the queue to be proof-read. I am hoping that book 3 will be ready by September and book 4 the following month.

Beyond these two I can confirm that I am currently working on a fifth book (the 4th novel??) which is called GLADSTONE MCWHISKERS AND THE MOUSES OF PARLIAMENT. I am currently writing the 2nd chapter of 15 and am hoping that this one will be ready by Christmas. On top of all this I have plotted out five more short stories and have begun working on a draft version of the first - but am only really working on this when I travel and haven't got a laptop handy. I expect this collection will be available sometime in the new year - depending on how my next volume of poems comes together!

That's quite enough new Mouse product for anyone to cope with, for now!! (If not a Gladstone McWhiskers sized overload!!) I blame it all on my niece, Alena - obviously!!

Other than actually writing the books I have been working on the photos that will be going on the covers of the next three books. The covers are all designed and I'll be uploading previews nearer the time. The photo at the top of this post is an unused shot from the first of three recent shoots and features my very favourite feline friend, Deeley - who actually appears as a character in book 3!!

Anyway - enough rambling from me!!

Expect another post before the end of the month, which should include the finalised cover for MOUSE IN A BOTTLE!!! ;-)
